Growth not only for us, but for the entire region. We are proud to announce the signing of a binding agreement for the Wisequity VI fund to invest in Marullo SpA. The agreement aims to support the company’s growth and consolidate its leadership in the production of semi-finished and finished pistachio products. This continues the successful expansion path initiated by the Marullo family, bringing Sicily’s green gold to international markets.
Wise Equity, the management company of the Wisequity VI fund, has chosen to become a part of our company, appreciating the work accomplished over the years and deciding to support untapped potential. This begins with the new production facility in Belpasso, near Catania, inaugurated in the summer of 2024. This facility will join the main headquarters in Catania, the secondary production facility in Bronte, and the pistachio sourcing and primary processing subsidiary in Turkey. The Belpasso facility has already enabled us to triple production capacity without sacrificing the exceptional quality of our products. Always guaranteed to our numerous clients, from large industrial groups to large-scale retail trade, both in Italy and abroad. This has allowed us to close the 2025 financial year (September-August) with a turnover of over €60 million: more than double the previous two years.

Wise Equity’s commitment—the fifth largest Italian small and medium-sized company with the Wisequity VI fund—will lead to a significant capital increase, to be used to strengthen the company’s raw material purchasing capacity. It will also lead to the acquisition of a majority stake, with reinvestment by the Marullo family and investment by Domenico Sciortino, the current CEO. These historic figures remain to ensure the continuity of our management.
Wise Equity brings a new industrial approach to the family business: already an undisputed leader in the pistachio sector, Biagio Marullo and the entire company management team are determined to achieve even greater heights. These professionals have demonstrated the quality of Marullo S.p.A.’s workers, the production facilities, and the processes built over the decades. Wise Equity has recognized them through Davide Arrigoni, Principal of Wise Equity; Edoardo Vaghi, Investment Manager; and Senior Partner Luigi Vagnozzi. Encouraging them to believe strongly in our project.
